VIDEO THRWBCK: Manu Dibango - Soul Makosa (1972)

"Soul Makosa" by Manu Dibango is one of those tracks that has been sampled endlessly--most famously in "Wanna be Startin' Something" by Michael Jackson and recently in "Don't Stop the Music" by Rihanna. It's a classic piece of funk, and some even argue that it's the very first record that could be classified as disco. In any case it's extremely catchy and makes us want to get up boogie.
