For everyone outside the States this band is Yazoo.
That line in LCD Soundsystem's Losing My Edge where he goes "you want to make something real - you want to make a Yaz record" never made much sense to me until I found out that in the States that was their name.
I thought he was talking about the Coldcut-produced Yazz, who don't really fit with the song's message. First they came along too late in the 80s to be fawned over by hipsters for a few more years ;) and second the line makes a lot more sense when it's a dig at the idea that analogue = authentic.
Anyway, great song.
