STREAM + CONTEST: Hercules and Love Affair
Hercules and Love Affair are set to be one of, if not the, most important bands of 2008. Their bold sound is both awesomely retro (bringing to mind Sylvester, Giorgio Moroder and everything amazing about late ‘70s disco) and totally in the now (Antony Hegarty and NYC nightlife fixture Nomi on vocals). Their debut US performance of material from their self-titled LP is Saturday at Studio B in Brooklyn, and it promises to be completely wild.

We're also streaming this amazing club mix of their lead single "Blind", which is sincerely the best dance song we're heard in a long time. It's all about the crazy horns and Antony's diva vocals. The album Hercules and Love Affair comes out on June 24 in North American through Mute Records with extra bonus tracks "Classique #2" and "Roar", as well as the video for “Blind”.
