Download: Fenin
According to Fenin's myspace, "the future is unwritten". After listening to his new album "Been Through" and seeing his new music video, we believe. Fenin's music has never been used in film/tv/ads/games but we're predicting a big year with this new record. The above, subtle video for "A Lie", just released, is only the tip of this dubbed-out IDM iceberg.
Born in Hamburg but based in Berlin, Fenin played in various post-rock and reggae bands in the 90s before attending a life changing outdoor electronic-fest in Berlin. He bought his first synthesizer and an Atari 1040 ST sequencer soon after, and started producing sketches incorporating his lifelong passion for dub and his newfound taste for electronics. Shitkatapult, the German tastemakers that changed our lives with Apparat, heard these early recordings and have since been putting out his releases.
Our friends at Shitkatapult have allowed you, loyal SEEN reader, a free download of "A Try" which features vocals from Berlin (via Africa) reggae vocalist Gorbi.
