This week's issue of NYC nightlife paper The L Magazine is their annual "NYC Bands You Need To Hear" issue, with bands like Team Robespierre and This Is Ivy League heading the new wave of NYC-based indie bands. Of the eight bands mentioned in the article, two have already been given the official RCRD LBL seal of approval--indie pop/twee legends-in-the-making The Pains of Being Pure at Heart and post-punk outfit Violens.
