EXCLUSIVE DOWNLOAD: Wintermute - Shark Vs. E-Boat

Wintermute originated in Leeds, UK, possibly one of the most musically prolific towns in Britain. There seems to be a band a minute coming out of there, and they’re all quite diverse and have their own cultural stamp, in a sense. Like their neighbors Forward, Russia!, Wintermute seem to be kind of inspired by the first and second waves of US (dare we say it) emo, and their track “Shark Vs. E-Boat” sounds like an English version of Braid having a little mope with Idlewild (minus the profuse Scottish-ness). Ah, there’s something about fuzzy, syncopated guitar riffs that make us feel 14 again. At least now we’re not listening to our Discman instead of doing algebra.
The DiS RCRD LBL blog just released “Shark Vs. E-Boat”, so head on over for more info.
Sounds like: Forward, Russia!, Braid, At The Drive In
