VIDEO THRWBCK: Rocket From The Crypt - Sturdy Wrists (1992)

Much to my delight, the first Rocket From The Crypt song that turned up in a google video search was "Sturdy Wrists", the group's infinitely jam-able ode to [censored]. The thirty word background on Rocket is that they were from San Diego and played teeth grinding garage/punk/soul ten years before the Hives and that the band's leader Jon Reiss was a former member of Drive Like Jehu and went on to be in Hot Snakes. Anyways, I remember loving this band right about the time I started wearing black button up shirts and listening to Nation Of Ulysses.

Just last week I played this track three times back to back to back on the subway. Anyways, the chorus pretty much sums this song up: "when you're done/you gotta once more".

PS - sorry for Prodigy/Dial Up modem-era video quality, although I guess it does add to the "near-vintage" feel of the song
