Still totally into White Denim, the band of Austin indie punks who we’ve now seen enough times to declare awesome live (even when they literally played a 5-minute long set at this year’s Plug Awards). If you’ve never experienced White Denim live (think the Minutemen meets Les Savy Fav), you have two options as of today: if you live in New York, you can run and see them open for Tapes ‘n’ Tapes tonight at the Fillmore at Irving Plaza (set time: 8:30PM) and/or you can tune in to WNYC’s Soundcheck show at 2PM and hear a live in-studio performance. Either way, you’ll be blown away. While you’re at it, download their past RCRD LBL singles and check out a Zane Lowe BBC radio show that they were featured on while you are at it.
