DOWNLOAD: Nat Baldwin - Lake Erie + One Two Three

Seven years ago the now forgotten but then point guard of ALL our dreams, Jason Williams orchestrated one of the most breathtaking comebacks in college hoops history, dismantling a Maryland team that had tossed Duke into a ten-point grave with roughly 60 ticks left to go on the clock. Legend has it, something similar happened just three years earlier in an New England prep championship, Dirty Projectors journeyman and double-bass slaying songwriter of MY dreams, Nat Baldwin, sparking an almost identical turnaround for playoff hardware slash glory. Baldwin was given some MVP love afterwards, an award that not only acts as cover art for dude's debut long-player (out at the end of this month), but serves as its title as well. Aptly.

Because Baldwin, whose virtuosity on the hardwood was enough to make college recruiters swoon up until he chose to pursue music instead, is about to make most everybody's ears do the same. The New Hampshire-native (and Anthony Braxton disciple) rains hyper-melodic chamber fire, three choice cuts of which are now available here in all their melismatic, cinematic glory. Hold them. Love them. Cherish them.
