DOWNLOAD: The Wave Pictures

Rejoice! We’re releasing two more tracks from cult London indie pop band the Wave Pictures, and they’re literally bursting with pop brilliance. “We Dress Up Like Snowmen” is the a more jovial version of Belle and Sebastian’s school boy tales, and “Now You’re Pregnant” is like an updated Smiths ballad and has lines like: “I don’t need therapy/Because I’ve got cigarettes”. In the world of the Wave Pictures, everything is catchy and relentlessly tugs at the heartstrings. The newer songs aren’t quite as lo-fi as the tracks we’ve posted previously, which sort of gives up hope: maybe the Wave Pictures will be the band to eradicate all of the boring nu-Britpop clones? We can only hope…
