DOWNLOAD: The Submarines - You Me And The Bourgeoisie

Perhaps it’s premature spring fever. Dunno but we’ve been skipping and headbopping on our i-pod to happy, trippy, blossoming pop rock recently- and it feels damn good. Take “You, Me & The Bourgeoisie” by The Submarines. Though John Dragonetti (Jack Drag) & Blake Hazard sound deceivingly like Monster Truck rally team members- they are an LA-based band &  couple- whose album Honeysuckle Weeks was carved after their post-break-up make-up. Sounds like? The Cardigans' “Love Fool” got all its over-the-top saccharine siphoned out of it and was injected with Duke Spirit-esque sass and irony.

They'll be at the Troubadour in LA on March 24th and in the quaint Cafe Du Nord in San Fran on March 26th.
