For over a year now, Foals fans have been hailing the band as the future of rock ‘n’ roll (no joke), and for once the hyperbolic music press might be right. By far, Foals are the only rock band today with traditional instrumentation that are pushing the envelope WAY forward, sounding more like a minimal rave in a disused warehouse than the typical indie rock style Britain is so prone to producing.

We’re ready to bet money that you’ve never quite heard anything like “Balloons”, Foals’ new single and today’s download. The way they play and produce their guitars is truly amazing, and wait until the cacophonic party breakdown after the first chorus. We can’t wait to check this band out at SXSW… who’s with us?
