DOWNLOAD: The Felice Brothers - San Antonio's Burning

So here’s “San Antonio’s Burning”, the second song in our run of awesome downloads from Americana troubadours The Felice Brothers. The cool thing about “San Antonio’s Burning” is that it was featured on The Brothers’ tour-only albumThe Adventure’s of the Felice Brothers, Vol. 1, so unless you caught them on their recent tours, chances are you don’t have it. Thank us later.

Opening with a plaintive harmonica melody, “San Antonio’s Burning” is like the soundtrack to a solitary night spent on the train tracks, as Ian Felice’s scruffy vocals weave a story of (what else) love and miserable despair. When he wails “Doc!/I need my morphine” you can tell that he’s like, not joking. Why don’t people make moving music like this anymore?

Stay tuned for next week, when we drop the final exclusive track from our Felice Brothers special. Until then, in case you missed it, here’s last week’s track, “Frankie’s Gun”.
