“Suburban Hymn” is an alluring substitute for an alarm clock. Meant as a wake-up ballad, it’s a charming, mellow acoustic ode- simply sew together with acoustic guitar and gentle whispers. The singer/guitarist of the Swedish outfit Alp, Jonatan Nilsson, hails from Uppsala, Sweden. Now, we don’t know much else, except according to Wikipedia, Ingmar Bergman was born there too. Maybe that explains the dreamy, delicate nature of his folk charmers. Maybe not. Regardless, we dig it.
