VIDEO THRWBCK: Seagull Screaming Kiss Her Kiss Her - Evolution
Formed in 1992, Seagull Screaming Kiss Her Kiss Her are often wrongly associated with the Shibuya-kei movement in Japanese pop culture (cut-'n'-paste pop rock a la Cornelius, Buffalo Daughter and Takako Minekawa), but are in face more influenced by Sonic Youth, Stereolab and Pavement than by French yé-yé music from the '60s. They disbanded in 2003, much to our personal dismay, bit not before releasing "Evolution", one of their best songs ever.
