We here at RCRD LBL are huge fans of dance music, so we’re more than excited to be putting out a little taste of what one of the most regarded DJs in the game has coming up. Moby is known for many things: his genre-busting LP that catapulted him into the stratosphere, Play, but also his defining ‘90s house records like 1991’s “Go”—a must for anyone who has ever danced until the sun came up. If anything, his upcoming album, Last Night is a true return to form. After taking a few years off after his last album Hotel, Moby has been popping up all over the thriving NYC dance scene lately, from spinning at 205 and Hiro Ballroom with RCRD LBL artist Jacques Renault to performing at what turned out to be the last Motherfucker party. So it seems completely organic that Last Night is a straight up ‘90s album, filled with diva vocals and raved-up electro edits. What we are offering today is an album sampler, mixed by Moby himself, so you can get a taste of Last Night yourself, and form your own opinion. Lots of things are going to be said about this album, but in the end there is only one true judge: the dancefloor.
