DOWNLOAD: Lillica Libertine - Tapedeck - Destiny (Knight Club Remix)
Imagine a Star Wars laser face-off on a dose of acid. Pretty ferocious. That's what the work of 19-year-old Nottingham UK club wonderkid Laurence Matthew Blake (the man behind the alliteration Lillica Libertine) resembles at times. However, on his remix of Tapedeck's single "Destiny," Lawrence chose to retain Tapedeck's 1970's disco whirl while layering on potent French house beats - the type that Daft Punk's Guy-Manuel De Homem-Christo made infamous. (Hence the call-out in the title to "Le Knight Club" - Guy-Man's side project.)
Since Lillica Libertine hasn't released his album Manhunt in the US yet, Tapedeck's own "Destiny" single isn't out till March, and the pound is mutilating the dollar, satiate cravings with the download below. (Plus, keep an eye out on L.L.'s Myspace for upcoming digi downloads.)
