VIDEO THRWBCK: Goldfrapp - Lovely Head
It's the weekend, so we figured we'd take a break from bringing you, the RCRD LBL reader, the newest bands and videos, and concentrate on some old favorites instead (we're calling it VIDEO THRWBCK--awesome, right?). Hailing from Bath, UK, Goldfrapp are about to release their fourth album Seventh Tree, and far from being a disco stomper á la Supernature (their previous LP) it's a soft, muted folk pop record, like Carole King hanging out with Peter Gabriel circa So. What with Portishead making their grand comeback and Moloko frontwoman Roisin Murphy being one of the most talked-about pop stars on the scene, it seems like a trip-hop throwback is inevitable. Today we posted Goldfrapp's first video, for the haunting "Lovely Head" off of their debut record Felt Mountain. Enjoy!
