The Naïve New Beaters have been tearing up a bit through France with their goofy retro electro pop, and it has nothing to do with their eccentric mop haircuts. David Boring's English-French-accent rap-speak quite appealing-it's honest, agressive, and at the same time a bit endearing. Plus, they favor a strong hook on electric guitar and head-banging bass backbeats. It's unabashed 80's revival. Check out "Live Good" and jive like you would if it was still the high-top 80s and you were in France in day-glo. Yeah, that's right.
