Brooklyn’s own Bunny Rabbit, backed by producer Black Cracker, make the kind of dark, sexy and psychedelic electro jams you might expect to come from a half android half b-girl from the future. Straight up, even her hair is futuristic. Spare drums and synths back Bunny Rabbit’s absurd sex laced raps, punctuated by the occasional expletive-filled rant against unnamed lyrical victims. Bunny Rabbit is definitely doing her own thing, though she’s also a part of a larger, New York Times-approved movement of avant-garde electro femcee’s like Amanda Blank, Mapei, Kid Sister, Yo! Majesty and others. If you’re in the NYC area, experience the Bunny Rabbit movement for yourself when she plays live on Feb 7th as part of Fashion Week.
