DOWNLOAD: Readymade FC feat. Feist - Snow Lion

It’s highly debatable whether the nation of France will ever give birth to anything other than really awesome electronic music. Jean-Philippe Verdine—a.k.a. Readymade FC—is no exception to the rule, that’s for sure. Like the laid-back ambient pop of Air aping Post-era Björk, Readymade creates earthy, dreamy trip-hop, chilling like it’s 1995. The track we’re releasing today, “Snow Lion”, is notable because it features everyone’s favorite Canada-born, Paris-dwelling folk pop diva Feist on vocal duties. Cue the sound of a million indie kids’ heads exploding.

“Snow Lion” would fit seamlessly on Goldfrapp’s Felt Mountain record (which coincidentally has been getting a lot of love in the office lately), with the latent hip hop beats and harp action. It’s kind of amazing. Readymade FC is signed to London's Peacefrog Records (home to Speck Mountain and José González), and released "Snow Lion" on his 2006 LP Babilonia.
