San Francisco, sweet thing, thank you for your wine and your psychedelic blues. For your Blue Cheer, your Moby Grape and your Great Society. And thank you today (and everyday) for John Dwyer, at least half the brains behind Coachwhips, OCS and freshest incarnation, Thee Ohsees.
Thee Ohsees are more Coachwhips madcap than OCS stoned, but they ride for both ends of that spectrum. It's a thing of beauty, really. Their guitars got the bedspins and fuck are they tough. Grumbling motherfuzzers in a slow motion woozy conjure mirages of Lou Reed in war paint. The vocals, meanwhile, got their chins down and their eyes up. Pure ecstatic evil. Warlocks singing satanic harmony with Joan of Arc. And then, somehow, they turn it all out with the manic fervor of an acne-scarred garage band. Pretty radical.
Basically, strap the Troggs' balls on The Mamas & The Papas and take the whole abomination on a Black Angels acid trip. And for god(or the other guy)'s sake, play it loud.

That was a lot more mellow
That was a lot more mellow than I was expecting, I figured with the name of the song this would be a little faster and harder. I've got to say this song was interesting. I wouldn't say its my typical cup of tea but then again it could be something I could get myself into given the right mood.

I don't have an opinion about the songs I think that since these a related to drugs in a most obvious sense that they should really take a look at who is hearing them. I think that maybe the people who wrote it need some rehabilitation. They should call Narconon Vista Bay so that they could have a chance at living. Drugs can be glamorized in a way that makes people believe that they are cool to do when in fact they are not.

Wine and psychedelic blues - funny I have seen many guys at the end of this trip and it's no sweet thing and unfortunately no happy end. As a musician I was drinking myself, every day, starting in the morning - but fortunately I got out of it, before it spiraled out of control. Music should be the drug, no some friggin' chemical that screws up your mind. Anyway John was my savior: Orange County Drug Rehab
