Look out now, the above video contains extensive toplessness.

Before we do the download, here's the brand new video for "At Death, A Proclamation," in which Phosphorescent waltzes a swan, a white tiger and a tallboy through a fever dream living room, ducking in and out of depths of fields with his eyes closed. Out of shirt and in of eyeliner, he rubs his head, hungover, a convention which pulls its weight only when he breaks it, involuntarily half-smiling through the triumphant chorus. Just watch it. You'll like it.

The song itself's a Dear John moaned over a chugger of a found drum loop. Some anonymous marching band playing a Georgia parking lot. And though the lyrics stay on the somber side, the melody - a real choked up frowner to begin with - laughs itself into a single, arms-up, starry-eyed hallelujah chorus.

As for "A Picture Of Our Torn Up Praise," it's a down in the mouth, up in the clouds Pat Garrett and Billy the Kid Cantina Theme. A rambling stunner with harmony for weeks. Kiss the Will Oldham / Neutral Milk Hotel references goodbye. On Pride (his latest LP out on Dead Oceans), Phosphorescent done got himself reborn.
