We love the Magnetic Fields’ new record, the jarring and beautiful Distortion. We can’t stop recommending it to everyone we know, and we’re already plotting about where it’s going to place on year end lists (scary, right?). You Ain’t No Picasso linked to a video of The Fields’ gloomy frontman Stephin Merritt performing the song “The Nun’s Litany” acoustic and live for Britain’s Channel 4. This is made even cooler by the fact that it’s not Stephin who sings the song on the record, so this performance gives it an ever darker aspect.
