It’s hard to be bummed out by Mick Jones (legendary lead guitarist of The Clash, natch) but after the total mess that happened with the Libertines and the musical slaughterhouse that is Babyshambles, we were really hoping he’d go off and do his own thing: and he did. He’s had his project Carbon/Silicon for a while, and the band released their first official physical CD (the band only self-released MP3s on their Web site up until that point) this year. Here Comes the Flood are featuring an interview with Mick and C/S’s “Pier 51”, which is a sing-songy, quintessentially Clash-like working class tune.
