San Francisco band Honeycut have been plugging away for just a few years now and have recently been picked up to musically represent their Bay Area neighbors Apple. The laid back groove of their track "Exodus Honey" has been featured in the ad for the new iMac as well as the intro that plays when you update to new Leopard operating system. Both of these spots were procured by our good friends at Bank Robber Music on behalf of Honeycut's label Quannum Projects, home to DJ Shadow, Blackalicious, Lyrics Born, & Pigeon John. The band features Bart Davenport on vocals, Tony Sevener on the MPC and RV Salters on the keyboards and (just as vital) on-stage dance moves. The tight three piece brings a sound that is more full than you would expect from their set up, bringing up influences from hip hop, electronic, rock and soul of the past and taking it to the future.
