Battles vs. 2007

Battles monolithic debut full-length "Mirrored" has cast its long shadow over 2007, rightfully landing in the upper reaches of year-end "best of" lists from Pitchfork, NME, The Wire, URB, XLR8R, MOJO, and even news institution TIME Magazine as well as many others.

Even more rewarding is the showering of praise from artists like Brian Eno, David Bowie, Cornelius, The Field, and Deerhunter.

Battles success was helped along in no small part by a duo of sublime videos for "Atlas" and "Tonto" and the band were invited onto NPR to discuss the "Tonto" clip recently. The result was a DVD-worthy commentary, watch it here:
