DJ Ayres, one-third of Brooklyn DJ mega-crew the Rub, is kind of a big deal. Since starting the Rub at Southpaw in 2002, he's traveled all over the world, gained mad respect for his remixes and edits, and fulfilled one of his goals--to create a dance music scene devoid of irony and fake hipsterdom.
