VIDEO: Editors - The Racing Rats
Editors have always occupied a strange place in the musical spectrum: not quite Interpol, not quite Joy Division, enjoyable yet not as popular as perhaps they should be, their second record The End Has a Start didn't leave you much leeway as to where you would place them. "The Racing Rats", however, was always the best song on the album, so good on the band for making it their newest single. It's a cracker of a song, built upon a catchy piano hook that sounds like Coldplay only menacing and dark. The video features the band walking in slow-mo through American suburbia, which if not totally compelling is at least funny as hell.
