Download: A Trio Of Tunes From Blood On The Wall

Our good pals at the excellent NY-based label Social Registry have offered up a sweet three song sampler from downhome Brooklyn punkers Blood On The Wall for you to dig in to and download today. Seeing that BOTW are one of our (and Drowned In Sound's) favorite bands, we are super psyched about this, especially because one of the songs is brand new and exclusive to RCRD LBL. It's called "Sorry Sorry Sarah" and it's off of their excellent forthcoming album Liferz, due out January.

For those of you just getting to know Blood On The Wall, they are a trio consisting of brother and sister Brad and Courtney Shanks and drummer Miggy Littleton (ex-Ida and White Magic). They've been a cult favorite here in NYC for the past few years and have toured/jammed across the US and Europe with lots of cool bands including the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Dinosaur Jr., Black Dice and the Fiery Furnaces. Those are just the facts, but what really matters is that listening to their music gives you the rush of getting ripped at your first house party or popping your first ollie in a parking lot. A lof people compare them to the Pixies, but we prefer to use an impressionistic rather than a literal description of their raw, unhinged sonic awesomeness. Anywayz, enjoy these tunes we posted up today and be on the watch for more jams in the weeks to come.
