Sam Champion are great group of rock dudes from NYC who write and perform straight up, qualitatively sweeeeet melodic rock and roll. Their loud and loose sound brings to mind near-vintage '90s indie rock bands like Pavement, Dinosaur Jr., and (early) Spoon and their freewheelin' vibe drums up a sense of nostalgia for a recent past, when music seemed simpler, and four guys could just start a band out of pure love of jamming without thinking about their MySpace page layout. 

Not to be all gushy, but these guys are champions in our eyes and so it makes us proud to be offering a RCRD LBL-exclusive download of their song "Your Party Was Yesterday?". The tune is a fuzzed-out indie rock heater replete with big choruses, hand claps, some concrete-scuffed soul boogie and lots of guitars, beautiful red Gibson SG guitars. Enjoy!
