DSCVR Dim Mak 1: From Monument To Masses

Welcome to Dim Mak's weekly installment of DSCVR DIM MAK, your trip through the archives of Dim Mak Records. Here is where we show you we've been basically rocking since day one. This week's episode features Bay-area post-rock trio From Monument to Masses aka FMTM who just winded down a West Coast tour this past weekend. The band goes way back with the label, back to when our fearless leader, Steve Aoki and FMTM's Matthew Solberg were college buddies at UCSB.

The first released sounds via Dim Mak were in 2002 with the band's self-titled debut release. That release was then followed up by second album "The Impossible Leap..." and 2005's critically acclaimed remixes/rework album "Schools of Thought Contend". "Schools of Thought Contend" features remixes by the likes of Thunderbirds are Now, Subtitle, Automato, Turbotito of Junior Senior, Jason Clark of Pretty Girls Make Graves and more. In addition to the band's catalog remixes, two very cool new tracks also appeared on the release... one being the addictive and haunting lead-off track 'Deafening'.

We now welcome you to DSCVR DIM MAK by downloading FMTM's 'Deafening'.

Such a great
