Yet more missives from Drowned in Sound this Monday afternoon, this time about Fanfarlo, a group of young bright things from (once again) London. Fanfarlo write upbeat pop tunes that have reeled in many a fan of their particular sound (most famously, one Mr. David Bowie announced Fanfarlo one of his favorite bands of 2007). Makes sense, as Fanfarlo sound like the Long Winters or the Spinto Band, but with less mope and more xylophones, mandolins, violins, and every other pretty-sounding instrument you can think of.
