DOWNLOAD: The Childballads (ex-Jonathan Fire*Eater)

For obsessive rock fans, the name Stuart Lupton is pretty meaningful: he was the front man of '90s indie legends Jonathan Fire*Eater, who pretty much invented every American band from the release of their milestone 1997 record Wolf Songs For Lambs to the present day. Stuart is imminently releasing his first record with his new band, The Childballads (his first musical venture since JF*E disbanded in 1998) the lead track of which is "Cheekbone Hollows", an upbeat folk-rock number that kind of sounds like the other JF*E off-shoot band, The Walkmen, only hopped up on mint juleps and gone South for the winter.
