FEATURED: Drug Rug

We recently saw Drug Rug open for some band at the Mercury Lounge one random evening, and were intrigued by the band's name: they were either going to be utterly amazing or something else entirely. And we must say that after experiencing them live, Drug Rug are actually quite fetching, if you're into female-fronted, southern fried country with a splattering of hippie mystique, which we undoubtedly are. Pop Tarts Suck Toasted (so true) just featured their song "Day I Die" on their weekly gig guide, so check it out. Drug Rug are also playing Mercury Lounge in New York on 11/28, so if you're in the neighborhood, what better way to spend 10 bucks?
