CHECK IT: Manchester Orchestra

Confusingly, Manchester Orchestra aren't from Manchester, but are from Atlanta, GA, and play the sort of indie folk that wouldn't feel out of place in a gloomy British town. Their cover of Annuals' indie hit "Brother" (which was just featured on the music blog MP3hugger) will be great for your post-Thanksgiving come-down, when you're laying comatose in bed listening to the last family car drive away. Here's to hoping that Manchester Orchestra will carry the torch of American indie pop with Magnetic Fields, A Sunny Day in Glasgow and the likes for many years to come.
