Welcome Drowned In Sound! Congrats To Drowned In Sound!

There are many reasons we wanted to partner with the UK online publication/record label Drowned In Sound (aka Drwnd In Snd) for our launch. The first of which is, like us, they love talking about the latest bands that have caught their ear and we feel they do it with conviction, expertise and enthusiasm (more on that in a bit). The second is that they love taking things one step further and releasing music from their favorite bands (for those keeping tabs their Drowned In Sound Recordings put out the first-ever releases from the Kaiser Chiefs and Bat For Lashes). In short, they are our kind of people.
Before we bounce you to their blog, we wanted to congratulate the DIS crew on their win last night at the Record Of The Day Awards where they won "Best Online Music Publication" and beat out some website called NME.com.
In the months to come, you can expect the DIS team to be blogging on the regular and featuring their editorial team's favorite tracks of the week on their RCRD LBL blog. Think of it as an online version of the import section of your local record shop, only the records are free and everything is good.
