DOWNLOAD: Holy Ghost! (DFA) - Hold On
Kudos to our friends over at DFA for scoring an iTunes single of the week for their new artist Holy Ghost!'s song "Hold On". Holy Ghost! have been the talk of the town for a while now, as part of the gigantic disco revival that is taking New York over at the moment (not that we're complaining, mind you). It seems like every cool new band's main references have shifted from the Velvet Underground and Joy Division to Donna Summer and Giorgio Moroder, which is quite a breath of much needed fresh air.
"Hold On", the Holy Ghost! track in question here, hits the proverbial nail on the head, with old school disco beats coupled with what has become that classic DFA production sound: very clean and powerful with amazing percussion. Be sure to download the single for free by clicking the link below. You need to have your iTUNES open to get the file, but we figured that for a bunch of music lovers such as yourselves that wouldn't be a problem.
